got my twm installed

I absolutely love it. Looks and feels so much better than the stock shifter. I had a couple of problems with the install, but figured it all out (w/o breaking anything). I do have one question....when im in neutral, the shifter is pretty far forward. When I shift into 1.3.5 it almost touches the front of the opening in the console. When im in 4, it looks like it is in Neutral, its right in the middle. Is that just the way it sits? I think the cables are adjusted all the way up. I do have a couple of suggestions for the installation instructions though. I never figured out the correct way to remove the main cable from the shifter. I ended up pulling the shifter out of the assy with the clip/adjuster still attached. And the zip tie in the boot was a pain. If anyone is looking to install one, holler, I may be able to save you some time.

Mine sits that way also in comparison to how it appeared stock. Ive had mine on now for almost a year I think and have had no problems with it. Love the look and feel of it. Hope your satisfied with the purchase cuz its a good one and not too expensive at that!

I would think that most aftermarket ones would fit that arent screw on, unless you know the threading of the shifter itself, I would go for one that is held by set screws, I picked a MOMO one up that is all leather pretty sure its a universal part, def way better than the aluminum one that is included especially in the cold weather haha. Hope this helps man.

Get yourself a baby sock for the shift knob. It helps out when it's cold, and protects it from heat in the summer. Removes easily after the knob is warm, and also prevents the sunlight from heating the knob to point where it'll burn your hand! Little trick that passed on to me from my buddy.
