Hard shifts & RPM spikes
Hello,
I have a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt, it has 209,000+ miles on it..
I am trying to diagnose an issue that started approximately 1 week ago. I was driving back from Texas to Alabama when I noticed, while cruise control is set traveling 70 miles per hour my vehicle would rev from approximately 2,500 to 2,800( a guess - It was an audible rev due to my exhaust). This was originally the only issue until I got back to Birmingham where it began shifting hard, say from a stop sign firstgear would be hard, 2nd gear not so hard, and third would be someone normal except it seem to hold out longer before the shift.
I have taken the vehicle to a mechanic , complaining that it was shifting hard, I told them to check the fluid and test drive it and of course they could not replicate the issue. They told me that the fluid level was fine and everything looked good. In fact everything did seem to be good until later that day. Since then it has been shifting hard when you shift from park to drive, park to reverse, and various day to day combinations of Park Drive & Reverse.
Again the vehicle does have 209, 000 miles on it.
The transmission has been worked on at 118,000 miles. According to the sheet of paper I was handed they rebuilt the torque converter and various other components.
NOTE: this does not happen consistently. Sometimes it shifts hard...sometimes it doesn't...
Could this be a mount? Something loose? Something Electronic?
All help greatly appreciated. Going to post some YouTube videos.. Hopefully they will be helpful in showing the RPM spikes..

Just to give u an idea of what's going on...
in the videos when my speed increases to 80 this was done not with the gas pedal but with the cruise control buttons
So the computer is 100% handling the acceleration and shifting
