Help ASAP!!!

Working on my buddies 04 ion. He had to install a new clutch pedal and we bled the lines but now the car won't go into gear when idling. Also the clutch pushes in really easy. Don't know what else to do. Let me know if you guys can help out. Thanks

Were gonna let it sit for a little and go back to it. He said the clutch and brake run off the same reservoir. Would that effect anything?

The problem is that you haven't bled it. They are a pain to bleed using the normal method. I'd suggest getting a vacuum bleeder, makes life much easier.

But you can do it normally, just bleed it until you get a pedal.

Then you need a vac bleeder. Takes time, but you don't have to waste any fluid or really do anything, just put it on and pump it up, let it sit, release, pump the pedal. Repeat a few times until it's perfect.

make sure on the final bleed that you close the bleed screw while the pedal is going down and not after it is down.
