how do you detach the clutch pedal from the master cylinder

Ok i can change the clutch but i can not get the dam master cylinder apart from the clutch pedal how do you get the clip off so i can take out the master cylinder.

I changed the clutch last night and everything went smooth till i tried to bleed the clutch lines and nothing comes out air or fluid. there is no pressure at the pedal no matter what i do so i am guessing that the master cylinder is shot. i looked up under the dash and there was a little break fluid dripping off it where it comes through the fire wall and around the push rod.

what do you think.
thanks.

You may have too much air in the system. Use a vacuum bleeder on the master cylinder.

If the clutch cyl is leaking, it's shot. To remove the rod, take the cyl out of the firewall by turning CLOCKWISE from the engine side 3/4 turn, it's a bitch. Wedge it on the firewall after pulling it out an inch then from inside the car, pull up on the clutch pedal like a mother. It'll pop out of either the pedal clip or the clutch cyl.

I had to take the underhood fusebox out to be able to get my meathooks in there to pull the clutch cyl when I put the ZZP adjustable rod in and was brused to my elbows for a week. If the stock rod isn't bent yet, it will be by the time your done. Soft metal on it.

There may be an easier way, but I didn't find one.

That and to remove the pedal from the clutch rod,
go under the dash and look behind the pedal
there is a white prong looking thing that holds the rod into the pedal u have to squeeze the clip out the pedal and pull the pedal away from it.
and yes it easier said than done

Bump for how to.
Detail and pics.
Don't skip a beat please.

Took it to two mechanics and they couldn't figure it out...

So I"m on my own.
