From what I've heard, you might need to adjust it further.

just take a drill and a bit a little bigger than the set screw.
but first took a sharpy marker and mark the end of the set screw and then tightend it all the way into the shifter. and when you take it back out, you have a mark where you need to drill
and drill about an 1/8 into the shifter

well you shouldn't have to do anything with drilling. Installed in an hour and have the same feel as stock but better. Perhaps on certain model years they did revisions. Mine is an 05 and I didn't have to do half the **** other people did.

i really didn't have to drill its just that if you twist it it would twist a little bit and i didn't like that so i just drilled a little hole and now its really firm and mine is an 05 too and only took me about 45 mins to install but after i had it installed my reverse lock out didn't work and the gears felt like

1_3_5__ Now its just 1_3_5

anyone know the size of the set screw?? I love my hurst shifter!! Does move around a lot. So, I am going to fix that like you guys said go to a better set screw. Only thing that sucks about it is on hot days it gets hot and on cold days it is very cold!! lol..
