its not a problem, it was designed to be more of a universal fitment, and does require some modification of the stock shift unit to make it fit properly on our cars.

Modifications as in you have to just adjust the cables so that the shifter works with the lockout. They've been complaining about "problems" since they came out for the SS/SC. The solution's still the same - ADJUST THE CABLES.

I heard grinding was needed on a small part of the lockout.

I installed mine in 20 minutes...And didn't bother to get the reverse lock-out to work...I could've adjusted the cables and all that jazz but...I don't like reverse lockout anyways...far better without it IMO...useless invention.

I had to drill and retap the set screw on mine and locktite about a year after I first installed it. Only issue I have had.

I disabled the reverse lock out and with a chisel removed the plastic section of the shift unit that catches the reverse lock out potion of the STS.

This way the cables can be adjusted to your taste and it has worked flawlessly for 3+ years.

mark the cables before you uninstall the stock shifter. I never adjusted mine, and the reverse lockout works and everything just fine.
