i lost 2nd,4th, and R...

ok my phone wont let me search today its being a pia... but has anyone ever had clutch fork problems?? or even the shift linkage? cause i JUST got the car back after the shifter broke completely now when i finaly decide to run up through the gears it breaks... 1st roll into it spins a little throw it into 2nd bark the tires, 3rd runnin better than ever i brought it up to boought 90-100 i let off i go to put it into 4th an (thinking bout slowing down when i go to put it) nothing...at all felt like i was in neutral so i try for fifth an it feels fine...i slow down an put into thrid an while iam slowing down i try again for forth an it goes... but when iam accelerating i cant get into 2nd or forth an now even from a dead stop i cant get it into reverse unless i put it into first and start to move the i can engage R....iam really gettin tired of bringin this car to the dealer... this will be the third time in less than 2 weeks...an 6th or 7th in the three an half months ive had the car

Dude, you have some bad luck. Either beat on you car more, or maybe less. Either or, because the beating you are giving now isn't working. Check you linkage, my buddy had this problem on his HHR. It was his shift cables that went bad.

I beat the living crap out of mine, It seems to work for me. My car has been good to me other than the Cat, steering colum, swaybar links, fuel injector O-rings, Belt tenchoner, lower conrol arms, and door hand that I have replaced since last year. Warrenty work FTW!
Check the end of you shifter cables, where they attach to the tranny. See if the plastic sleave or the rollpins broke.

wow i fixed it i poped the cupholder an ran through the gears an one of the clips for the linkage poped up an out of place. so i pushed both back in an i checked the other one an it felt a lil loose so i pushed it in an it think wat happened was when they changed the shifter they didnt push it back it properly lol
