im still kinda new, whats cryo'd, tvs, and a killer chiller?

 

getting the transmission gears, case, and all parts cryogenically treated to streghten them, the tvs is the blower i run, and the killer chiller is the next cooling mod coming out for our cars.

 

Are you getting the shafts cryo'd too?

 

i think the transmission destruction should be more pointed to your clutch choice and it's lack of ability to disengaged above a certain rpm.

 

What clutch was he running?

Yeah, those clutchs have disengaugment (sp?) problems right?

 

Yes over 6k it does not let you shift hard at all, takes about a half second to get it in gear literally.

btw everything we can get cryo'd is getting done at the same time.

 

So are you getting the shafts cryo'd too? Just wondering because I've heard that the input shaft is supose to flex a little bit.

A shop local to me, its easy enough to find one took me about a hour or so. I would recommend searching it on google and sifting through shops.

 

How much does cryo treating cost? if you don't mind me asking.

 

Around 300~ 350

 

Not too bad.

So you think it was more the clutch than too much power?

 

Not so much that more the axles i think hopefully just a fluke. The car is not making anything insane power wise 275 tq and 315 whp on the daily driver tune.

 

Not a bad price.....thought it would be more. I am going to get everything cryo treated when I pull the motor and trans. Thanks for the info! Hopefully the new axles will hold up and everything will be gravy this time around!

 

car is getting dyno'd, tested for the intake manifold and killer chiller, and being put away for the rest of the year. Till spring when the fun starts.

i need gears period i will know very soon if the dealer warranties them for me should find out ina hour.
