LNF trans options

I'm looking at doing some serious upgrades now that not only is my car paid off but I have a big boy job lol anyways it looks like trans stuff is getting harder to find so anyone know what my chances of finding 4.45 gears are? I wouldn't mind doing an F40 swap but that's a ton of change I would rather put into the motor and I'm not sure if/when ZZP will have them in stock again..would a 4.05 be worth putting in until I can find 4.45s or afford an F40 and swap? I'm open to any ideas

4.05 lsd swapped in my car with the zfr and ky stage 3 clutch. I'm happy since the 4.45 gears are scarce as hell. I think i paid around $800 for mine shipped. Still keeping an eye open for those saturn gears lol.

There's a couple saturn l series trans for sale in the area I may go check out. Is there anything else I can do to beef up the trans besides a clutch. How do you like the ky stage 3?

Ky s3 is ok, it definitely holds the zfr in every gear at 25-26psi on E47 and meth. Clutch engagement is very short travel and at the top of the pedal release so its hard to get used to, but you can slip it and daily drive it, i do. Mine doesn't chatter at all either like some people have mentioned, stock flywheel just scuffed up with 80 grit worked fine.

One difference in the 4.05 tranny is that you go about 5 mph slower in 5th gearat freeway speed. Like the stock 3.82 would be at 80 mph at 3000rpms, I'm at 75mph at 3000rpms in 5th, and i think a 4.45 is around 70mph at 3000rpms someone mentioned.

Thanks for the help, its much appreciated. Did you swap an entire LSJ trans or just steal the gears?

Entire lsj trans from an 06 redline, bolted right in. I shattered 3rd gear in the lnf tranny with 25 psi and e47 lol, take a look at my signature line

is there anyway to tell if a trans has the LSD just by looking at the tag? found (assuming) an f35 with 4.05s on craigslist but not sure if it has lsd and the post doesn't definitively say.

Doesn't appear to have it but my trans now does so I can always swap it out..for how cheap it is, I should probably just pick it up as long as it's in decent condition

Considering the ad says it's out of an 05 with less than 10k miles I'm gonna guess it wasn't swapped in. No biggey I already have it and prob would've tried to sell the spare anyway.

Mind me asking how much you got it for? I spent 300 bucks on mine ( couldn't find any cheaper) and it was ''rebuilt'' but it makes some funny noises lol
