not having an air filter = never having to replace it. So him coming here asking, "does my car have an air filter" could mean he's at ~50k miles for all you know. You, among 15 others, saying, no you don't....could mean him NEVER replacing the air fliter in his car. This has a massive effect on reliability, but who needs reliability when everyone has extra money to spend in this amazing economy?

exactly. I agree, searching is important and it's a newbie question, but my point is not a single person in two pages decided to point him in the right direction or help him out. it was ALL people giving him the wrong info and pointing him in the wrong direction, which is completely pointless and just asking to create a cc08 x 100,000

cakeeater, your reading way to much into this.

he described his car had a aftermarket intake..first of all.

second. there is a girl in town who owns a ss/sc...she didnt know she needed winter tires..her car got stuck in snow and she tried to push it out of the snow..well pressing hard on the spoiler..she snapped it in half.

she then went to the dealership she bought the car..and demanded they replace her spoiler and buy her winter tires because she was not informed that she needed them..

if you dont see what i am getting at..then i overesitmated you..

none of the bolded has anything to do with this conversation. winter tires are not a necessary element in the design of the car. Try running a car to 150k without replacing the air fliter. I really couldn't give a damn if you guys just want to be ********, but I wanted to make sure you realized what kind of effect this kind of misinformation can have on somebody's car.

I see no reference to an aftermarket intake other than the acronym CAI, which is unimportant because he doesn't know if he has an air filter either way.

everything bolded has everything to do with this conversation.

the girl thinks its someone elses fault for her stupidity.

your saying, if he never replaced the filter..its our fault for him being stupid.

even tho the knowledable GM dealers never told her about winter tires..its their fault?

whatever cakeeater, it was a joke..calm down..log off the computer before your mind explodes..go sleep..wake up tomorrow morning and hopefully you have a different perspective on this.
