Need advice please!
I will be installing a ky stage 3 clutch with slave and tob this weekend and I've never done it before but I have the gm build book and some experienced friends coming over to help with it.. so I was just looking for any advice from you guys that have done a clutch swap in the ss/sc before, I'm still doing as much reading as I can but figured I would post up and see what you guys had to say as well, thanks!
take your time and pay attention to how things come off. Don't forget the spacer that goes between the trans and engine. I almost did, ould have been a pain to find that after you think you are finished lol!!!!!! Good luck
GM Build Book is very good. It's how I did it. Take your time, and try not to lose the itty bitty pieces. I remember having to look for the small oil cap thingy for the clutch pipe on my garage floor.
Haha well I've planned for about 3 days to do the job so I should have plenty of time to take my time and I know! I can't wait to get it done and drive it like it's supposed to be driven!
like everyone else said, take your time. dont let that subframe and tranny hit you in the face when there coming down lol...putting the tranny back in and alignning it i think are the biggest pain in the ass
Post pics of your old clutch/ flywheel haha. I shouldve took pucs of mine. It was pretty much worn down to the bolts! Not my fault though!
Is it one hundred percent necessary to pull the axle out of the intermediate shaft? The gm build book says that that I have to pull the axle out but the bitch isn't moving so I'm wondering if I can just pull the four bolts out of the I shaft mount and pull it all out together and then not have to worry about separating the two... If I do have to separate them, there are two bolts holding in a gasket or something between the two, are those necessary to remove? The book doesn't say anything about removing them
I'm trying to upload pictures in case I wasn't clear in my description but photobucket isn't working for me at the moment so I can try later, thanks guys

The build book says to pry these two apart but they aren't budging, and it's not like I'm weak by any means and I've put a lot of effort into it.. Am I missing a step? It doesn't say anything about removing any bolts, just to start prying
Glad my photo worked also... :P fml

Really really struggling to get my bellhousing off, seems like the starter needs to come off but I can't get the bolt behind it off with everything in the way, does anyone have any sort of advice for this before I lose my mind?!
