Need Help ASAP
Im pretty sure my roll pin is shot and I need to replace it tomorrow morning. I need to know what size roll pin I need pr what size bolt. I found the how-to for this and it mentions a bolt. Will it be safe to run a bolt instead of a roll pin? How tight should I tighten the nut on it? Etc. Just need some help before I go to buy this stuff.
it would need to be a high grade bolt, I would say minimum of grade 8. otherwise, the roll pins are usually readily available at dealerships and fairly cheap to get several

Well I was gonna run the bolt instead of the roll pin so I dont have to worry about going through them. Granted this is the first time I'll have to replace it and the cars got 81k on it.
Napa has roll pins for like $0.25 a piece. I may probably just end up buying those cause I'd hate to **** the trans by using a bolt instead of a part designed to fail. Another question, is changing the roll pin the same for the F23 as it is for the F35?

From reading through the how-to, now Im wondering, my shifter has a **** ton of play side to side, not so much front to back. Would that still be a roll pin or would it be something else?
