need help, brake lines....
i have an '06 ss/sc, i need new rear rotors. no biggy (got a deal for 4 rotors and hawk brake pads all around for under $300 shipped, thanks to ngasales! my dealer quoted me $550 for rear rotors and labor i believe). i'm debating getting the stainless braided brake hoses from ottp. i do not track the car at all, but i would like a firmer brake feel. so my questions are:
1) seeing my car is coming up on 5 years old, i live in new england and deal with crappy winters, should i consider changing the stock brake lines, and...
2) would these lines be total overkill? what exactly would the lines do for me vs, if i need to change out the lines, a normal set of stock lines?
i've searched around and haven't found much about steal braided lines, aside from they're not really needed. but, if my lines should be changed within the next year, since i'm redoing the rotors and pads all around, why not upgrade the hoses as well?

i dont see your Hoses deteriorating due to weather. and i think your lines will be good for atleast another 5 years. i am also from NE
that being said. i am going to do the SS brake hoses when i do my rotors and pads all around for improved pedal feel and response, as well as if i ever do decode to track the car it will be that much better. for the cost, i would do it if youre thinking about it.
