Need a little help/info

Need a little help/info

My dads friend just threw in a stage 1 clutchmasters clutch and fidanza light weight flywheel on my 05 cobalt ss.sc. The guy said the car needs a period of 500 miles to break in the new parts. Is this true? just wondering from some of you guys, I mean I kinda figured it did but I wanna know if the 500 miles is exagerated or w.e. Lemme know what you guys know...thanks

500 miles at least, i stayed completley out of boost minus one time when i thought sombody was gonna rear end me lol

500 miles is needed for proper break in, and that needs to be mostly city driving. you dont have to drive like a granny, at least not for the whole time anyways. the first 100 miles is most important, after that you can step on the throttle a bit, but dont be launching/ banging through the gears, make sure the clutch is right out and roll onto the throttle.
