Flywheel good or bad

I have not read to much about people putting flywheels in with there clutch in the 08-09 SS/TC. I am just wondering if there is reason for that. I know that it helps alot because you dont have to turn so much weight. I am just wondering when i get my stage 3 or 4 clutch if i should do flywheel.

I take it you got a spec?

At the very least you will have to get the stock flywheel resurfaced, which if there is a napa around you can get that done for cheap.

The findanza ones offer a lighter flywheel at the sacrifice of SOME durability...but ...if you are breaking a flywheel, I want to shake your hand.

I just ordered a spec 3+ clutch and will be resurfacing the stock flywheel. It's a daily driver and the heavier stock flywheel lends itself to smoother driving. If your going towards a track first car then go with a lighter one. its all up to what you wanna do with the car!

I ran a 7 lb flywheel and had the drivability of stock.

How heavy was/is the stocker?

I think part of the reasoning behind the stocker's weight was to absorb vibrations.

its either going to be spec 3 or spec 4 or the clutchmasters 3 or 4 6puck. I wish i could go lighter on the flywheel but not 7lbs. maybe like 11 or 10. Napa resurfaces them but do they shave them also.

its going to be my daily driver till my beater gets fixed. but i do tend to get on it alot because there is alot of ******** that think balts aint nothing.
