New Trans!

So my 2nd gear synchro is now shot somehow. Started asbout 2 weeks ago. Go to shift into 2nd, grinded. i thought it was maybe me in the beggining. as the day went on it kept grinding, i knew what it was automatically.

So im going to be ordering the ZZP 4.45 Trans next week. Along with a new flywheel. Kinda excited to feel the difference in gear ratio.

Ill keep you guys posted about how it is!

I think a stock clutch would hold up a lot better with the 4.45 gear ratio. As oppose to the stock ratio

Just a fair warning that ZZP no longer sells them with the G85 Option. At least that's what was said to me from ZZP when I emailed them asking if it did since it doesn't say online.

I think they said it would be almost a $1000 option.

I've been considering sending in my old unit that had the same problem as yours (grinding 2nd gear) and have them put the 4.45 gears in and whatnot since it's G85 already.

They are both tuned. I'd guess they aren't running stock clutches anymore.

I haven't taken a good look at the tranny, but I thought that if you've already got G85, then you could take the LSD portion and bolt it to any F35 tranny. That's what they did when I switched from my original to the one I have now I believe. If I remember right, I think I've got a new tranny, but kept my old LSD.

Otherwise it wouldn't make any sense to only sell non-LSD trannies for higher power applications.
