Not getting fluid to the clutch?

had to install a new slave, at the same time i removed the brakes and repainted them.

so i had to rebleed the entire system. start with the right rear brake, left rear brake, right front brake, left front brake, then finally the clutch. all the brakes bled easily, but now i cant get any fluid into the line that goes into the slave. I've traced the line all the way back no kinks or anything. clutch petal has no pressure behind it, and is not getting any. The fluid level in the resivoir is staying the same.

i have no idea wtf is going on. anyone have any thoughts/ideas?

the bleed line is before the slave cylinder so it's gotta be something with the master cylinder.

Open the bleeder on the transmission and leave it open until fluid starts coming out, that's what I usually have to do if I have no pedal pressure after reinstalling the transmission. That should give you pressure after you pump the pedal a bit, then blead as normal.

You have to bleed it with a vacuum pump!

You don't HAVE to bleed it with a vacuum pump, but it is the way that GM recommends. I would suggest a combination method. Do what Black SS/SC suggests and that will get fluid TO the slave cylinder, but not necessarily into the slave. I am going to assume that you did not fill the slave cylinder before installing it. So after you get fluid down to the slave, and the slave may partially fill by cracking the bleeder open, close off the bleeder and vacuum bleed the rest of the air out. If you do not know how to do this, bounce this post back and either I or someone on the forum will go thru it with you.

Try this, remove the clip where the hydraulic line and that large aluminum block snaps onto the pipe going into the slave and pop that aluminum block up. If you get fluid flow at that time, then there is a blockage probably caused by mis-installation of that rubber cap on top of the pipe. It is easy to get this cap out of position when replacing that aluminum block and there is only two possible failure modes, that is leakage or blockage.
