How do we know your info is right? I mean there have been many gm stage kit threads with people stating that it was going to give this and this. I need to see some proof that these clutches will actually be $4,000 when they come out. Because at this point I really don't think they would be that much. I could see $1,500......not $4,000

You guys know whats realy funny about this? When my freind built his 97 supra TT he had a clutch custom made just for his car and it was like 1,800. And guess what? He has put like 45K on that clutch so far and he beats the crap out of it. The car is makeing almost 1000hp at the crank and 870 to the wheels and he has never had a problem with the clutch.
For 6K that clutch had beter come with a trans that can hold the power to!
I did some checking and I can get a full doggengagment trans biult for the car for 12K. Let me tell you this would be about 5000 times beter use of your money then a 6k clutch would be.
And a clutch is a wareing part like brake pads and tires. There is no way they can make one that will take what you are claiming and still be able to hold more then 10hp! If they could the nascar teams with endless cash flows would have them. And last I checked there clutches last about 2 races if they dont beat on them.

Later

Later.

This sounds like BS or something really stupid. 6K????!!!!!! i guess if you were going all out and made that in a day then why not but most cobalt owners will not be able to purchase that or even want to. If i had $6K for mods in a cobalt or anyhting i sure wou;dn't spend that on one thing. It better drive itself for that much and make another 150 hp for the engine somehow.

i dont need to show any proof until someone really wants to buy it. you guys are just complaining about the price, i know most people on here cant afford this clutch but there are some people that are looking to make one hell of a cobalt and have the money to spend 6k on a clutch. i can send someone pictures, hell i can go as far as letting you hold it in your hand. this is not a clutch for a daily driven car, its for a track car or a high hp car. when i posted this i knew that it would be really hard to sell this clutch, hell i didnt even want to buy it, i was just trying to give someone else the chance to buy it.

Well, If you have the money you can build yourself a better clutch. That will hold 1000ft of torque or more. RPS is one company that will build one for you.

Here are some examples of clutchs that make a ton of power and hold...

WOTM will build you a RPS Carbon/Carbon Twin disk Clutch or a Tilton Triple Disc clutch for our cars. They build them for any cars...if you have the $$$

Price isn't cheap...

RPS clutch..

In fact RPS has the technology and assembly procedures in place to make any carbon clutch for any application.
Triple disk....
