Open and read update on gear oil!!!

hey everyone been out the loop for a minute, but thought i would update sum info before i add it o the sticky. as every who has read i been having problems with my tranny from the ass who added the RP gear oil that DOES NOT work well with our trannies. So i been looking for alternates and found none and was set on getting the dealer fluid. After a clutch swap on my friends car we added the dealer oil and i went to the dealer but parts was closed. tired of driving like this i hav been hitting part stores. the weight of the dealer gear oil is 75w85 , GL4 i forgot the part number so wont quote it. every oil has additives for lsd EXCEPT the Master Pro gear oil compatible with all oem fluids GL-2,3,4 and 5 / weight is 75w90 a lil off but im running this is my tranny now i had to get ride of the RP ASAP. as of right now my car is running and shifting smooth as ever (i brought two bottles of the master pro/ and my buddy sold me one bottle of his dealer oil) i use one bottle of the master pro to get the RP **** out my car and filled the tranny with the other bottle of master pro and the last bottle of the dealer oil. just wanted to let everyone kno what i hav done and my car is running smooth. THE MASTER PRO DOES NOT HAVE ANY ADDITIVES. as i asked the parts guy and read teh bottle.

you do not want to run any gear oil designed for a differential, just because it has a similar grade doesnt mean its correct. you need to run specific manual transmission fluid thats 75w85 or 75w90. at work i like to use redline mt-85 in vehicles that come in complaining of difficult shifting when cold (and require gl4), and ive never had a come back. i havent tried it in my car, im running the gm fluid, however in the cold weather ive been having stiff shifting so i might give it a shot.
