Please help Transmission Removal

This Bolt behind the starter will NOT come out, we’ve used inhuman force, we’ve used Impacts, everything. It Will. Not. Budge. This is the last damn step before I can drop the transmission and I’ve been stuck on this for 3 hours now. Please someone shed some light. 2009 Cobalt SS

That looks like a small socket on that bolt. Should be like a 12 or 13 mm?

It’s an 18mm bolt on the rear of the Starter. One of the 7 Bell Housing Bolts

Starter has to physically come out and then you can get that bolt

Really? All the starter removal videos I’ve watched have them taking out the lower 15mm bolt and that rear 18mm bell housing bolt to remove it. What do I have to do to remove it? Just that lower bolt and pull?

I've always removed the starter to get that bolt just makes it alot easier to get to. If I remember that one has a nut for a ground then it's the actual bolt that need to come out. I think the nut is a 15. Or maybe I'm thinking of a another bolt. But for sure take the starter out

I thought there is 2 smaller bolts on starter, obviously the connections. Then it allows access to the bell housing bolt.

I've had the transmission out 3 times, you'd think I'd know the bolts by heart lol

Okay so the job is done! However now my battery doesn’t get a charge. Would any of the wires that go to the starter affect that? Those are the only wires that I messed with other than wires that plugged directly in.

I fixed it! It was stupid simple. I had the black wire for the starter on the bottom instead of the top. Switched that and no more problems.
