problem with 2nd

i want to know if any of u ever had a problem like this and what is the cause.
every gear is fine except 2nd. when shifting from 1st to 2nd i can hold the clutch in (fully pressed) and the gears will grind, now 2nd is almost gone. i do have warranty but i bought the car used with 198miles on it and the dealership gave me the gm 36/36 and the preowned 3month 3000mile warranty the dealershipis 2 hours away from where i live and the one close to me says there is no way they can find my warranty info, i have 1000 miles left before im screwed. any info would be appreciated. thanks

So heres what you do. Go back to the dealership and get them to fix the syncros under warranty. That will take them about 5 days at most (just had mine done). While they have your car ask them to install a new clutch for you. But a light weight flywheel and a better after market clutch. And hope they don't take all day to install that stuff.
