Question on F35

Hey guys,

so I did a search before posting and search resulted with this thread:

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...F35+max+Torque

As you can see, the thread is outdated. Now, with the 08 turbalts max torque by GM on the F35 is 260lbs. What is the limit for this Trans? They were speculating in the thread I provided above with LSJ. Personally, my goal that I would be happy with would be 370whp with 400+lbs torque. Is this to much for the tranny? Can I do something to the tranny to make it stronger or will it be just fine? Thanks

PS: I won't be pushing this car all the time, but every one in a while I do want to go to my SCCA events.

Its pretty reasonable around here, but i dont know about Hawaii. Your best bet it to google it, if there isnt a place in Hawaii that can do it im sure there are a bunch of places in So Cal.

I don't see the car making 370 whp with over 400wtq.

The only reason the torque is so high on them now, is because of the super small Turbo; and that turbo IS NOT healthily capable of 370whp on boost alone. Just look at the SRT-4 Neons and the Mazda MS3's... same way... tiny stock turbo's make higher torque numbers.

Switch out for a bigger turbo and you'll lose that big torque number, which is really what you want... torque is usually what tears things apart in the drivetrain.

^^^ Hmmm, well that was just guessing on the torque. HP that would like to be my goal 370whp then would yield what kind of torque.

These are the things I'm planning for the TC

Hahn Catback 3" exhaust

Hahn downpipe

Intake(whenever that comes out)

Hahn Intercooler upgrade

Hahn Intercooler piping

PPC tuner or HP tuner (not sure)

Hey, what do you think about this price that I found? $630 rough est. for the Trans. Not to mention shipping cost to Palmdale, California.
