So if I get an aftermarket clutch installed does that void the warranty on the transmission? I would assume so but it isn't part of the trans so who knows GMs logic.

 

I'm pritty sure as long as some one with a title before there name installs it ur good... (certified mech) but I'm not sure.. I know my dealership said it didn't... but it all depends on the dealership I geuss...

 

Depends if the clutch causes it to fail.

 

Id assume if you had a certified tech put it in youd be fine. It is a wear item.
Thing is if its and upgraded clutch I feel like they would hassle you about it for sure. But I dont think they could deny the claim.

 

^^ This. Depending on the dealer, they will insist the aftermarket clutch damaged the transmission and therefore void your warranty. For example, my local dealership wouldn't even install an aftermarket clutch in my car. They won't touch any aftermarket clutch installs on any vehicles serviced there.

 

For the most part, I highly doubt they will even know it is in there...

Along with what emiller stated, would be the only issue, but they would have to prove it.
