Redline Mt-90 or Redline Heavy Shockproof?

Hi guys. I am thinking about running either running Redline MT-90 or Redline Heavy Shockproof. Is there any reason I should run MT-90 instead of Heavy Shockproof? Could Heavy Shockproof mess up the F35 trans for a daily driver?

Thanks for the advice.

I've tried the Redline fluid and the GM LNF fluid is better.
Also, see the stickied thread that discusses the OEM fluid for more info.

Yeah I read all of it. I like the oem fluid, but I want to smooth out and quicken my shifts.

Then I got to thinking if Zzp runs MT-90 instead of oem there must be a reason behind it.

Also, I heard some guys are using heavy shockproof to take up some of the "shock" durring launch. However I don't know if Heavy Shockproof would work for a daily driver.

Just replacing stock fluid helped my smoothness out.

I actually went from whatever fluid came with my IRL to the Redline MT90, then to the LNF fluid and I liked the LNF fluid better - smoother and quicker shifting.

I've run the MT90 in previous cars and it was better than the OEM fluids there, but in the Cobalts/IRL's, the LNF fluid is the best choice.

Lol thanks guys.... I was just wondering if the mt-90 would work better. If zzp is using it instead of oem there must be a reason.

Red Line Synthetic Oil - Gear Oil for Manual Transmissions - MT-85 75W85 GL-4 Gear Oil

factory oil is by far the best for the f35. ive run redline, and royal purple, went back to oe oil and shifting improved. i had redline mt-85 in mine before switching back to lnf fluid, the transmission was starting to develop some noise in neutral with the clutch out, that went away immediately when changed to lnf fluid.

MT90 actually doesn't meet the standards for the F35. Never heard of thicker fluid working better in cold weather, either.

i am not saying it works better in all cars or in this car all the time. just saying i have no issues with it after 80k maybe it was coincidence but on stock fluid i had my shifter freeze in place when i left the car in gear in sub zero temps..... got even colder this year. no stuck shifter with mt-90. i road race the car regularly and this fluid has never let me down.

thought the standard for the f-35 was a gl4 equivalent which to my knowledge gl4 is what mt-90 is rated to.
