Removing Axle/Differential Seal on F23
Just curious how to remove the seal that goes around the axle on the differential. I was thinking something like a pilot bearing puller. Any ideas? also can this be done with the tranny still in the car?
also what is the best way to put it back in without using a press?

ITS A L I V E!! lol
I have the same question as this guy. Just was under the car today and noticed atf all over.
There is also some play in the axle if you try to move it.
Anybody have any tips?
F23 axle seals, and the wobble bothers me. Makes me think a bearing is bad??

Axles should move even when installed, that might be normal.
For the seals, once the axle is removed, just use a seal puller or large screwdrive/prybar to pop it out. Clean the area it goes in, use a big socket or piece of wood that will fit and carefully tap the new one into place with a hammer. Easy.

Should be a simple fix, thanks Joe
