i dunno bout that i once saw a vid on youtube they took it off tho but the guy was doing reverse donuts in a balt and his sc was whining when he stepped on the gas

The S/C will whine regardless of boost pressure, the rotors are still spinning no matter what. However, the bybass valve should be open, which will not allow the engine to build any measureable boost pressure.

Like some other people already said it because the reverse gears are straight cut and are causing the noise. nothing to worry about!

its b/c ur engine is spinning backwards in reverse and ur exhaust becomes ur intake etc. Theres a thread on it look it up

yea pretty much just make sure u clean ur exhaust tip well or ull suck in alot of carbon when u put it into reverse

Yea thats why the Muncie M-22 "rock crusher" was the most popular transmission in the late 60s. Having driven a few I can attest they are really loud, like I can hear it when WOT in a BBC with headers and glasspacks.
