Just as the title reads. Are the Saturn Ion Redline LSD trans indentical to the G85 Cobalt trans? I found one from a redline and need to know if it'll work for me! Thanks ahead of time!

Yeah, I am 99.9% sure. The car has the identical powertrain to ours down to the transmission, so I would assume that the LSD would also be the same.

Thanks. I think the trannies are the same as well looking at the pics. Mine has been out of the car a total of 4 times now, so I've seen it quite a bit needless to say. I just wan't to make sure they are 100% identical before I drop the cash!

I would say, drop the cash. If you go to sites (Dezod) selling the Quaife it is for all F35 trannys, Saab, Cobalt, Ion.

I think that's what I'm going to do. It'll save me damn near a grand over a new one. Then I can buy the Exedy kit or Bully clutch with that to ditch the all trouble causing Clutchmasters clutch even knoe the final revision worked well.

Yes they are exactly the same. The transmissions in our cars came from the SAAB 9-3.

WOOT! I scored a LSD tranny with only 2000 miles on it for $1055 shipped to my door! I'm pretty stoked that I stumbled across that deal! Rock on!
