Shifter keeps popping out of place?? help!

I've had my car for about a year now, and this has never happened before. When I try to power shift, or no lift shift, my shifter comes out of the linkage cable, right underneath the cupholder. I've gotten a new linkage cable not too long ago, so idk what the problem could be! Now, I have to be really gentle when shifting, or it'll pop out of place...
Sucks cause I can't go to the track anymore! When I do slow shifts, I lose all my boost..
Can anyone help me out?

You need to replace the part that clips onto the cable and shifter. The plastic ball portion is broken and allows it to slide off the shifter easily. I made a thread on this awhile back and Morad Parts has the clips for a reasonable price.
