Shifter starting to feel more notchy

So I've started to notice that my shifter is feeling a lot mote notch than usual. 3rd, 4th, and 5th feel like going thru a pile of rocks to get in. The weird thing is it happens randomly too. Sometimes shifts are butter smooth. Other times I nearly grind a gear. Anyone else experience this?

Idk if my linkage needs adjustment or I need a new roll pin. Maybe a tyranny fluid change too?

Mine has just a little more than 10,000 miles on the transmission, and it whines super loud in third. Wondering why. My shifter also feels horrible.

I'm thinking the f35 is just a horrible transmission.

ya my shifting is the same way. when i had the stock shifter it wasnt as bad but it was definitely there. i put a twm sts and now its a little worse. but i havent tried to figure it out really. my 2 main guesses would be a. tranny fluid needs changing or b. the linkage needs to be played with. i do wanna figure this out. ive read on threads that people have got there shifts like butter after ****** with the linkage a bit. but everyones opinion of butter is different ha. im in for someone who has a definite answer of what will fix this

it could be weather related. the colder it gets the more my front end talks to me lol. the warmer it gets the quieter it is. just sayin...

i dont think 60-70 degrees would cause my shifter to feel sloppy. if it does then i cant imagine how -10 will feel this winter.

If the roll pin is damaged wouldn't it have the opposite effect of notchy? Idk I'm just throwing ideas out there. Lmk what it is when you figure it out lol

update:

so i tried to replace my roll pin with one i got from NAPA.... holy hell are the stock rollpins hard to remove. i tried to remove the stock rollpins for about 2 hours and gave up. im just going to take it to the dealer as its getting really annoying. i have about a full inch of play left to right when its in gear.

Mine I can go furter over to the right when trying to go to 5th.
I have to come back left a little to go up to 5th.
Get used to it after a while, but every now and again I still go to far right, try to go up and hit the wall, then just have to come back left an inch to go up to 5th.

lol it is a pita we just changed mine out to some grade 8 bolts but it didnt make much of a diffrence really still have like 1 1/2 of play up and down and 1in side to side just now they shouldnt break i think the hole where the role pin goes threw is just worn out from the dealer changing it so much lol
