shifting in auto

should i be a stop when i shift down to I or L in a auto

I never had to stop to do and didnt seem like it caused a problem, though im the only one on here with a blown transmission ha ha

no you dont need to be, but use common sence. if your going 50mph dont drop it into low. the pcm has anti abuse programming were if you leave it in low and you hit the rev limiter it will still shift to 2nd, and it also wont downshift to 1st above a certain speed, however if you just bellow that threshold itll downshift and hit the rev limiter.
