Short Shifter Question

Can anyone give me a walktrough on installing a short throw shifter? I looked in the How to section but the only one i found was for An SS SC and A saturn ion. just wanted to do it without messing anything up. THis is the exact shifter i bought.

I think there's a how-to on here, in the How-To section.

Start with this...

TWM STS Install Instructions

It's for a different shifter but the pics are for a 2.2. Once you get the center console apart it's fairly straightforward. I highly recommend a T-20 Torx driver (although for some reason my B&M instructions said T-15) and a ratchet set.

And please, for the love of God and all things holy.... mark your cables BEFORE you un-clip the linkages. Otherwise we'll be seeing a post from you shortly about why you can't get into first.

Hope this helps

I used the TWM instructions. For the ebay shifter you don't have to make the cut.
Did that shifter come with a knob? If not I think a Toyota knob will fit.

White grease for the ball things. Get a knob that goes on the shifter threads. the cheap knobs that use setscrews never work right and will **** up your threads. ebay has some nice aftermarket toyota knobs.
