Short Throw Shifter

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. I have been looking for something to do to my SS/SC and I thought maybe installing a short throw shifter would be entertaining and also improve my driving enjoyment. Right now, I have the stock shifter with an adapter and classic black, spherical shift knob. with the adapter, my throw just feels pretty long. Does anyone have any experience with installing short throws into cobalts and have opinions on weather it is a large improvment, or if it is even feasible to accomplish?
Thanks for any help guys.

I have a hurst. While it didn't really shorten the shift I think it shifts nicer than the stock one. I heard TWM is nice but also pricey. Don't know from experience but I'm sure someone can chime in.

My stock was just beat up so I went for mostly looks, The hurst looks nice and performs well also. My 2 cents

Yea the stock GM shifter is fine, but I just want to make it better. I put an new boot on when I bought the car as well as the new knob (who ever owned it before me put some shitty ass "JDM" knob on it that wouldn't stay on) so it LOOKs nice, just looking for that little bump in shift speed. Thanks for the input!!!
