Slave problems?? after clutch/tranny replacement
Slave problems?? after clutch/tranny replacement
okay sooooooo. i have a 2006 chevy cobalt ls and im having issues with the slave cylinder. let me start at the begining. so ive had the car for a year transmission would randomly grind gears. one day it was really hard to go into gear and kept grinding in first. then in third. then in 5th.. reverse 2nd and 3rd were fine. so i got a used tranny new oem exedy cluth (college student, didnt have alot of money anyways) and had my mechanic put it in. he swapped them out put the new slave, clutch disk/pressure plate and tranny in. bolted everything back up and when put the fluid in. when he went to start it he said he heard a pop sound, the clutch dropped to the floor and the car was leaking break fluid from the slave. he thought it was a faulty slave. so he dropped it again put the used one from my **** tranny in and it did the same thing. then he put the slave from the used tranny in and it did the same thing. he said he thinks its the pressure plate. but were not sure. and im carless.... can anyone please help or give ideas??? i would really appreciate it!
Check o ring on quick connect for clutch line on top of transmission
Should be a black oring that is shaped like a top hat that goes on the end of the clutch pipe that sticks out of the transmission
