Well my shifter seems as if its just floating around now. In gear in moves right to left and now i can move it back adn forth without pulling it out of gear. What could be causing this i was told check my shift linkage roll pin but what else could cause this

Check the bracket on the top of the tranny! The bolts fell out of it on my car and the shifter was all over the place and it was hard to get it in 5th
