Small issue with steering....
I'm sure it's just coincidence, but since putting my superchips tune on my car, sometimes my car seems to lose it's power steering once in a while at a dead stop. No codes or anything comeing up for it, and when driving it acts fine. But once in a while, when completely stopped, it won't have any, or almost any power steering. Then at the next stop it will be fine. Do I need to calibrate it some how? How about resetting it?
I don't think so,....usually that is associated while driving, and you get a code associated with it. The car only has 1300 miles on it.
So I noticed something,....when in my garage on slick concrete, its slick,....very easy. But on the grainy shell infused tar here in Fla, it gets tough. I also did it at my work, that has a new layer of paint on tar, very slick,....turned easy. On the road again,....stiff again.

Im at the dealer right now replacing my steering (Under Warranty
). Would just go out every min. Ill turn it off and on again goes back to normal then ...ding ding ding..."POWER STEERING" pops up and thats when I work my arm muscles for this. You should get it checked out ASAP not fun making wide ass turns in any street.
I have the same situation. Sometimes it would also be my tire pressure. When it was low the sterring would stiffin up a lil. Put air and smooth steering again.

Theres nothing wrong with that. You guys are explaining normal issues.
Grippy road sitting still means its real hard to turn tires. When I had 245s and it was hot it was almost impossible to turn wheels while stationary. as soon as you move it activates. Its to save the motor.
Same with low tire pressure.

You might be right, maven. If I am rolling at 1 mph, it becomes much easier. And I never have got the power steering statement on my display. I do know my tires are a little underinflated, too.
