Alright here is the deal..

When I'm in 1st and I shift into 2nd, it feels very rough.

All of my other gears (except 3rd and 4th sometimes, but it's rare) are a lot easier and just slide right in.

What could be the problem?

It's hard to explain without actually driving it and feeling what I'm talking about, and I'm going to take it in.. but I just figured I would post here and see what you guys say.

 

is the car fairly new?

 

Yeah I just picked it up in May, brand new.

my 1st and 2nd gears are terrible, and reverse

 

My car was hard to shift when it was new. But it got a lot better after the first couple thousand miles. I had a similar concern and my buddies told me it was a new gearbox thing. I am at 48,000 now and everything is great.

 

oh good so it's not just me then my gear box is new
