Spec Clutch Problems

So my stock clutch went out at 22,000 miles. So I had a spec stage 2 installed with a brand new fly wheel. The instructions with the spec clutch said to put 450 miles on it for break in. So i put almost 500 on it before even getting on it. The clutch felt so strong a second gear grabbed really hard. I now have like 950 miles on it and today i was driving around town, at first it was doing fine. I went through the car wash and when i left i went to get on it a little bit i noticed that when in second gear the clutch was slipping. It only slipes in second gear not in the any other. Did i possible glaze it or what. I was so pissed to have brand new clutch slip like that.

Any would help or info would be appreciated

Thanks.

Spec Stage 2 or 2+? And what mods do you have?

I am getting a Spec Stage 2+ installed on my car w/Stock Flywheel, a Stg2 Kit w/Nate's 2.9 Pulley and GMPP Exhaust. I hope this is not too much for the Spec Stage 2+ to handle.

Anywais, if it's slipping, maybe the installed it wrong?

I doubt the install is wrong because the clutch felt amazing ever since i got it back.

ya i am a ss/sc

Is there any reason for it be slipping

I have only banged second gear maybe 10 times since it has been broke in. I have never launched it from a dead stop either.

I am in college i cannot afford another clutch install.

tbh unless it's slipping all the time, I woulden't worry too much. But to be safe, id go easy on it for a while.

As far as an Exedy Clutch goes, you need your clutch to end up being louder than the supercharger whine.

Oh yeah, have fun getting stuck in stop and go traffic with Exedy clutch, and say goodbye to your leg
