sporadic t/c light and hard shifting

Hey guys,

So, I made another inclusive post a few weeks ago, but this would be best in the transmission section.. So, I hope someone can help.. Please read everything so you know what I'm referring to.. Let's go!

So, a few years back, I bought one of those B&M Shift Plus modules. Had it installed and never had a problem. Awhile later I removed it. Ever since, I have a sporadic issue with the tranny. More so the ECU than the tranny because the tranny still works fine. This is for an auto 2.4 by the way.. Anyway, it may just have been a coincidence with timing of removal of the Shift Plus, but also maybe not.. Do you think that module messed with my ECU? I didn't usually have it engaged, but it had to be spliced into place. Do you think something may be messed up with the wiring? It's in a very hard place to access. If that's likely the problem, I can remove whatever necessary to actually get right there and re-wire, but I'd rather not if that's not it. It's nothing that throws a code, so the dealer has no idea what it is. Is it possible to even just buy a new transmission harness (the thing I had to splice into)? I have no idea.. I'm guessing it's a short or something because it's sporadic and always comes on after driving. It also always goes off after turning the car off then back on. So it's not a constant problem.. I'd assume a short. It also sometimes even goes off while driving! It's very confusing. When this happens, the tranny acts up big-time. The t/c light comes on, the tranny shifts very hard and the shift points are very high. It's kinda like it's in "intermediate" but with power-shifting. The weird thing is that if you're flooring it and it is in this mode, with the super hard shifting, it even sounds vaguely like a slight turbo blow-off when it shifts.. lol

I've just put this off for awhile and want to try to actually fix the problems the car has instead of simply ignoring them.. If I fix this, a few CEL's and get new struts, I'll be good to go. lol So help me out, guys!!

Please, please help.. Thanks!!
