Steering wheel/car shaking between 55-65
Been battling with this for about a year now =\ the shaking is the worst at exactly 60. It actually fades off at 70mph+. It's a moderate thump sound and feel. Like a woodpecker sound almost. My steering wheel shakes pretty heavily as well. I had my front two tires replaced, with an alignment and balance. I do have warped rotors up front but I can't see this being the reason for the shaking. Other ideas? It's gotten pretty bad.

i didnt get gm parts...find a remanufacturer and bought 2 fronts for 106.00 shipped and then one of my good friends is my mechanic and did it in his garage. Crate engine depots quoted like 270 something for 1 gm hub.

Sounds like the bearings in one of your front wheel hub assemblies is done.
I've replaced my hubs on both sides.
This one seller on ebay "DETROITAXLE" sells for the pair $105 shipped w/ ABS. Best deal I found... work great on my car.
