does anyone know how much horsepower u can run on a stock clutch? im running a 2.8 with 60s and pushing 244hp to the wheels but dont know if i should replace it now or not...im noticing very short travel after being hard on it...

 

Short travel of what? The clutch pedal?

If so there is either:

a) air in your lines or
b) clutch master cylinder is going out

There is no "number" to the clutch.

run it till it slips.

 

ya after being hard on the clutch the travel in the pedal seems to grab almost instantly but normal driving it has a high release point... so i dont know whats wrong with it?

Many members are able to get long life out of their clutch. Just don't shift like a jackass

 

i dont i just got the car i think the person who had it before me beat the **** out of it and now im just trying to fix things...
