Third gear went again, need a new trans and cannot find. Anybody know somewhere I can buy a used MU3 with LSD oooorrr send mine somewhere to be rebuilt so they can salvage my perfectly intact LSD? Spoke with ZZP and they said no new trans for indefinite future bc the parts they use to beef up are on back order. Anyone know of another company who makes/sells the F35? Thanks

I have a new LSD trans here as well as a non LSD used one. Both 4.05 which would be better as far as strength compared to the 3.82 I could take a partial cash trade . PM sent

yeah Mongorat im not to far away. This install will be trans #3. Car's making 320ish hp/over 400tq to the wheels...stock turbo, zzp stg. 4 clutch, stock motor. Yeah, fair warning to anyone else who's throwing these numbers or close to it, DON'T no-lift into third, it WILL BREAK. maybe not the first, second, etc. but matter of time it will happen.

 

I can't believe you've blown 2 trans on the stock turbo like that. Driver mod needed.

well sounds like thanks to Mongorat I'll be picking up a new trans w. lsd sometime next weekend. which leaves just enough time for me to take mine out this weekend....*sigh*

Just took this trans apart. Both gears were stripped clean and pieces got in the pinion and blew out through the case in the front . I traded him my 4.05 LSD for cash plus his old trans so I have a LSD with 2500 miles on it and a few other usable parts that look brand new and about $50 worth of scrap. Thats the most damage I have seen yet. Must be doing BANZAI shifts.

 

Lots of horrible driver mods.
That and ppl want high HP/TQ without modding all equal components for a standard sports car

 

It seems the 3.82 trans were put together too loose compared to the 4.05s

 

Some of us actually drive our cars. It's the point of modding them. Has nothing to do with a driver mod.

Yeah slamming 3rd with a high torque FAST spooling turbo like stock Will do bad things to 3rd or even 4th if 3rd survives. Is John Shephard still doing anything with these transmissions?
