Tranmission chatter?

Whenever I am in gear and cruising giving it only a little gas I can hear a slight noise coming from the transmission. It sounds almost like a winding rattling noise. It isn't very consistent, it kind of comes and goes and varies in intensity depending on what speed I'm going and what rpm I'm at. It is most noticeable in 2nd and 3rd gear. I don't hear it when I'm accelerating or when I'm in neutral and it's only slightly noticeable when decelerating. It's definitely different from the whine that occurs when slowing down to a stop which I'm used to. Anyone else experiencing this? I have an '06 SS/SC with 22k miles btw.

Sufu did they fix your clutch Monday ? If they did what was wrong? Was it a Spec clutch replacement that failed, or hydraulics? enquiring minds want to know

My balt is sitting at the SMG shop atm waiting for the Spec Clutch to be installed. And it's actually the shitty stock clutch that went on me. I am waiting for Fred@SMG to call me back and let me know how it's going, so hopefully ill know something else this week!

The clutch going bad at 22k miles? I don't even drive the car that hard! Hopefully warranty will cover it.

warranty

If your clutch is toast, all they will tell you is to go f self and your warranty. Oh and they will want to slap you with a $1500 bill for parts and labor to get the exact same clutch back in...

I would at least get the dealership to check the car out and see if anything is wrong, but if your clutch is gone, they will charge you just for taking a look at it since it's not covered under warranty.
