Regional thread isn't getting much response. So I'm trying in here. Can someone help me out here, 2nd gear synchro is gone. I need to have someone open up my tranny and replace it. Thinking that while I have already paid to open it up, shouldn't I replace the clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, other synchros while its already off the car? And does anyone have a shop they would recommend in WNY. I've used Niagara Transmission in Lockport once before for a 4L60E on my old 96 Impala SS, had good results with them. But anyone with any other recommendations?

 

600 plus parts up here. Not that far from you. Got used, cost about a grand exchange. shipping is a pita pm if you are interested. Drive up here and we can do the swap

 

I might consider doing that, what is the story with the used, how many miles? LSD? or is it a rebuilt unit?
