Trans/Clutch Problem: Help Needed!

I'm not sure if I'm just overanalyzing my car after I got it back from the dealership or what but here is the problem: When I am downshifting the car feels like it is bogging down at a higher RPM than it used to. Maybe I'm just an idiot but for instance when I'm slowing down from getting off the highway it feels like it is bogging down between 1600-1900RPMs in 3rd, 4th, 5th. I downshift when I slow down and I'm really easy on everything. When it gets right around that RPM range it feels like it is throwing itself into neutral and then grabbing again. I have 33,000 miles on the car and it seems like it just started doing this. I was thinking it was possibly the clutch slipping or something but I have no problems upshifting or any other issues with the drivability just driving around town or WOT. I only get this problem when I am in gear downshifting. I do not have a CEL on or anything. What the hell is going on here? Are all the SS S/Cs like this or did I just never notice this before? By the way, the car is bone stock with the exception of a CAI and the reflash from GM for the P0171.

I would say just keep your motor at higher RPM's, its more fun that way anyway.

Hey, I notice this feeling in 4th gear when the RPM's get too low. It feels like the car goes into neutral, or like it's going to stall. Honestly I don't think this is an issue as at those low rpm's barely any power is being created by the engine and its going to bog on such a low gear.

I rarely drive the car under 2K rpm for this reason and I still get excellent gas mileage.

Hmm, maybe I am just paying too much attention to it. So no one else has any insight on this?
