ok im looking at cobalt ss's/ion redlines and SRT-4's online. i just got a 2000 subaru impreza rs but i wish it was faster (and a stick). so i found THIS on craigslist and im interested. the issue is the trans has no 3rd or forth, but the rest work. what would i be looking at to get a new trans put in/get it rebuilt. im just looking for something in the ballpark here.... i know its a redline but im under the impression that its the same engine and drivetrain as the SS. also, im located in MI and was thinking about finding a trans used but i dont have the tools or knowhow to put it in, i mean i can hold a wrench but im no gearhead. If anyone on here would be able to help me with this project and get it done on the cheap id appreciate it! i really want to get into one of these!

Not sure how to rebuild one but if anyone else can chime in I think the 04's f35 was different with it than the 05's +. Different mounts or sensors, I barely remember. Just something to look into.
