Trans swap ?

So I already killed one trans case from bad wheel hop at around 73k. Put in a used G85 trans with around 30k on it and new GMPP clutch. I'm at around 81k now and did lots of hard drag passes and now killed 2nd gear. I have and 05 LSJ by the way.

So 2 trans down for me. Would love to upgrade to something stronger to avoid this again. I was wondering if the LNF trans is a better upgrade for the LSJ and how much stronger is it?

Whats actually needed for the swap?

What is the actually gearing diff?

ZZP has something in the works for an upgraded F35 tranny. Ryan is running it in his 600 whp cobalt but they have yet to release any info as far as pricing and when it will become available.

Im sure what ever they make will be bullit proof for my type of build and HP i plan for. But I also bet it'll be out of my budget range and what I want to spend on the car.

Look into getting the 4.45 final drive gear set for the F35 and have that installed. Supposedly it takes a lot of strain off of the rest of the tranny.

Which would mean I would have to have the trans torn apart for that? If i bought an LNF trans i wouldnt wanna spend money to tear it apart.

You don't want an LNF trans for your supercharged cobalt. The gearing will hurt you. Do what you want but If I already had a trans. out of the car I would put the gears in.
