So I have a 2005 cobalt ss/sc and after car warms up I hear noise from the trans. When I push the clutch in all the noise goes away and only engine noise. It chirps and make like a cha cha cha sound and I also hear the sound under load while accelerating.

Have you changed the fluid or checked the fluid level?

 

yes just changed fluid and still makes this noise.

 

Sometimes transmissions are just noisy. My F23 is that way when it's in neutral with the clutch out - clutch in and it goes away. Drives fine and still holds 400 hp or so just fine.

Do you have upgraded trans mounts? They can sometimes transmit additional NVH that you might not have previously heard.

 

yeah I do. The squeak is annoying as hell with my ocd though lol.
