Transmission Failures/Problems 2.2/2.4/2.0

I'm trying to get a thread together so that everyone can discuss how their trans has failed on them at one point, so for those people who would still like their warranty to cover it, it does. maybe using this we may be able to figure out what part is actually causing it the most.

2ND GEAR GRINDS WHEN LET CLUTCH OUT
SECOND GEAR TEETH CHAFFED BAD SYNCHRO ASSMY TEETH SHEARED OFF & 1ST GEAR
ROAD TESTED SEVERAL MILES---TO DUPLICAITE-R&R TRANSMISSION
TO INSPECT---REPLACED 1ST & 2ND GEARS & SYNCHRONIZER ASSMY
REPLACED BLOCKER RINGS & BEARINGS--ALSO HAD TO CHIZZEL
BROKEN INTERMEDIATE SHAFT NEEDLE BEARING OUT WAS COCKED & STUCK IN CASE HALF-- REPLACED THE SHIFTER ASSY ON TRANS.
REFILLED & ROAD TESTED ALL OKAY THIS TIME----OLH--2.OHR---TO REMOVE BEARING CAGE & ROAD TESTING ETC.

The repair had to be authorized by a GM service manager, and they wouldn't take my car in the first day i brought it there and it was doing it i had to come back 6 times more till they took it and gave me a rental.

I had a partial failure on my F35

would pop out of second after making the shift and engaging clutch, then just pops out part way almost to neutral without accelerating or depressing accelerator.

so long story short - unrepairable with ease so they put in a new one. No real explaination as to why. was done for 4 wks with a rental.

it's warranty covered, i saw in another thread u were thinking about changing your trans fluid if you do they'll void it but if you got and 07 is 100,000 is its mechanical. and since your under 36,000 it should all be covered.

Third gear effin hates me.

Never grinds, but going 5th to 3rd to pass make f23 unhappy.

More double clutching is in order...

just get a hold of your dealership ASAP and get it in the longer you drive on it the more it looks like abuse and they may deny you. And once you get it back when shifting between gears they'll be some force on your shifter when engaging the next gear wait until it allows you to slide it in easier because when it pushes the synchros have not yet lined up and thats why shifting hard destroys these transmissions. It pushes the tabs on the blocker ring down further when you power shift destroying the sychros and causing gear clashing

Thats is terrible for your clutch, and transmission. Going 5th to 3rd means that the flywheel is spinning fast then it would in 4th causing more clutch wear

Yeah but down shifting from 5th to 4th then 4th to 3rd is lame.

I know why it does it... and if you double clutch it, or if you rev match it it makes for a happier tranny.

I know I will be replacing the clutch one day.

That day will be before 40k miles.

ok was just saying i've been there i'm still using a stock clutch but solely because i'm afraid to mess with the tranny till this thing is paid for. And then all things aside i'm going to buy another transmission install a LSD and fidanza flywheel and upgraded clutch
