bell housing...diff side was fine, but i guess it was starting to go out as well due to excessive wheel hop(thats what was writtin on my work order at dealership)

ok so a strengthened bellhousing and gearset could make this tranny hold up better than.

um i think sttaying out of wheel hop or fixing wheel hop is a better move than worrying about fixing the tranmission case.

i had full mounts and still do..everything except for traction bars, but it still shakes the tranny under hard accel, especially when ur launchin..more power=more stress onto tranny

jimbo, I am not sure how much tq you are going to be putting to your tansmission but you may want to consider what I refused to, GM Race Prepped AUTOMATIC transmission.
I know it is auto but in the long run that could be the easiest solution to big HP in our cars. A heck of a lot cheaper than what that idiot paid to go RWD in his Cobalt.

i have actually thought of doing that, but i wanna wait to see how well the tranny holds up with the car being turboed.

thats how my 1st tranny looked like..now the 2nd one has a smaller hole, but its still cracked open..and both times it wasnt due to wheel hop..they said its because of my excedy clutch..i guess its to strong for our weak trannys

So lets take this to a logical conclusion.
If more power requires the need for a stronger clutch, then an Exedy is a good choice.
If the Exedy is too strong for our transmission to handle, then people who are doing significant builds right now are going to start blowing up transmissions frequently.

i have noticed on thing though, all the guys blowing transmissions are still running the sc, no one has blown a tranny since they went turbo. i have a feeling that is because of the torque curves a way different. the turbo makes for a lot less abuse in the low end. this is all just theory though.

ill be pushing out more top end power,so that might not affect the transmission as much as having low end power
