Ok, so i searched the forums, but i just had to ask. Does anyone else experience transmission whining, through 1st and 2nd and 3rd gears at low spead where you can audibly hear it?? Especially where there is load on the transmission? The oil is full and the car only has 8000 miles on it, bought it with 5800, so i dont know if this is normal. I previously owned a 96 Dodge Avenger with a 5 speed and it didnt make this noise, but i know that heavier duty transmission make more noise, so let me plz.

Yea, i think that's your SC...it does that. If it starts to GRIND, then you have problems.

 

Never heard a manual whine, except in reverse, autos yes, manuals, not so much.

 

No i know what your talking about...mine does it when i have the clutch depressed and im coming to a stop sign at about 10 Mph....its nothing to worry about....just the gears moving and creating that whining noise your talking about...the reason for this is because 1st gear is so short, it requires heavier parts to control the torque throughout 1st gear...but 2nd does it to but only when i have the clutch depressed and im slowing down....its very faint but its just normal noise...
